Frequently
Asked Questions
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing comfortable, sturdy footwear, and weather-appropriate clothing that allows for ease of movement.
For your safety, it’s important to wear protective eyewear and ear protection during the activities. We’ll provide ear protection for you, and if you need protective eyewear, we have it available for just £2.50. If you prefer, you can also wear your own prescription glasses or sunglasses. Your comfort and safety are our top priorities!
Can I bring spectators?
Yes, but they will be required to wear ear protection.
Do you need any paperwork from me?
Yes, we do require license holders to present their certificates at the desk when you arrive at the club.
Can you cater for groups?
Absolutely! We can comfortably accommodate groups of up to 20 people, no matter their shooting experience. We’ve hosted many corporate events and celebrations.
What to bring to a shooting club?
- Personal Firearm (if applicable): If you have your own firearm and would like to use it, ensure it meets our safety standards.
- Ammunition: Bring the appropriate ammunition for your firearm, if using your own.
- Ear Protection and safety glasses: While we provide, you can bring your own if you prefer.
I am only just starting out, what do I need to do?
If you’re a novice shooter, we encourage you to book an experience package. It’s a fantastic way to explore the sport and find out what interests you (you can view and book packages here). Once you’re ready to move forward, feel free to drop by our gun room for a chat about membership options!
Can non-members come and shoot with their own guns?
Will adverse weather conditions affect my booking?
We only consider canceling a booking in the most extreme weather conditions that could jeopardize your safety or ruin your experience. While we know that bad weather can happen, we’re committed to making your visit enjoyable, no matter the conditions. We’ll always do our best to ensure you have a great experience!
Do I need a gun license to shoot?
I’m an experienced shooter; why do I need an instructor?
If you’re a confident shooter just looking to enjoy a clay shooting experience, that’s perfectly fine! Our instructor will be present as part of our safety protocols, but they won’t be hovering or going over the basics again. Instead, they’ll be there to offer expert tips and tricks you might not have encountered before and to help out if you need anything.
